To commemorate UAE Flag Day, which is celebrated annually to show appreciation for and to enhance the feeling of belonging to the homeland, integrated solutions provider Dulsco organized a special event at its headquarters in Dubai.
During a special ceremony, the flag was hoisted by Dulsco’s CFO Martin Bradley, in the presence of the company managers, officials, and employees. The latter, dressed in the colors of the flag, stood in formation to represent this national symbol and while the flag was being hoisted, the national anthem was being played. There was also live streaming of the ceremony across all other Dulsco offices to pay tribute to the occasion.
Mahdi Mohammed, Chief Operating Officer of Support Services Sector at Dulsco, said: “The flag represents a symbol of the pride and glory of the United Arab Emirates, which occupies the top ranks in all fields. On this day we renew our loyalty to President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, under whose wise leadership the state has become a pillar of progress and a model for success.”
He stressed that the concurrence of this year’s Flag Day with the country’s Golden Jubilee consolidates the importance of this national symbol in emphasizing the gains achieved by the UAE and stated that the future will see the country continuing to reach more achievements across various sectors, enhancing stability and prosperity.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, first approved the celebration of Flag Day as an annual national occasion in 2013. The event coincided with the day on which President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, took office, and is celebrated on 3 November each year
